Frequently Asked Questions

Safety first!

As delicious as they may look, the products are not edible. Products are not suitable for young children as many items contain small parts which are a potential choking hazard for children/pets.

What is that vinegar smell?

Initially, you may notice a strong vinegar smell on your decoden case when you first open your package. This is normal as all my cases are made with 100% silicone. I have tried other types and brands of silicone with a less offensive odor, but this was the strongest one that did not peel off cases. I try my best to air the products prior to shipping the items, but the scent can return as the case has been trapped in the bag for several days. To get rid of the smell, simply take it out of the bag and air it out for a day or two and you’re good to go!

How durable are your cases?

VERY durable! Watch my Instagram video of me throwing a case and tugging at the pieces/whip to see for yourself:

(but please don’t do this to your own case!)

Caring For Your Decoden Item

Please be gentle with your decoden item! While it does offer plenty of protection for your phone, it is still a handmade, decorative art piece. Avoid placing the item(s) into tight places such as pockets or cluttered handbags to minimize the risk for damage, and please do not pick at the cabochons. I have made every effort to secure them well (as you can see from the video above), but picking at them again and again may still cause the pieces to come off!

A Cabochon/Rhinestone has fallen off! What do I do?

If some pieces have fallen off, don’t worry! Cabochons on the whip can be stuck back on using regular super glue (eg. Krazy Glue, Gorilla Glue), and rhinestones can be stuck back on using E6000 or Gem-Tac glue!

How do I clean my case?

After a while, you may notice that your case has collected some dust/dirt. This can be cleaned by using a dampened cloth or Q-tip to gently wipe it away, or by using some tape to stick up the dust!
